| The Experience smash their way to another win by Cam | A good day, a fast outfield and a chance to flex our batting muscles saw the Experience batting first at St Albans. Bobby & Cam got us off to a more than useful start with an opening partnership of 60-odd. Bobby got through to 41 with some meaty blows while Cam cut and cover drove his way to 46 before falling to a great diving catch. Haydn's 35 was as entertaining as ever, but a middle overs lull meant that a below par score was on the cards. However Benny & Daz stepped up and swashbuckled their way to 45 and 23 respectively and got us up to a score of 242. It was a good performance batting against one of the better bowling sides in the grade.
We started fielding keen to rip through their batters so we could get to Rik's stag night. Jake got into a good rhythm and found immediate success getting the top three out. Benny took a couple of great catches at gully and Grant latched onto a screamer in the slips. A steady fall of wickets and tight bowling had SD 87 for 6 and requiring 160 off the last 20 overs. With the game all but gone, the foot came off the throat allowing SD to get up to 203 at the end of their overs. Lordy was the standout with the bat, coming 1m short of a century and finishing up on 99 for the second week in a row. Still, a great all round team performance ensured it was another pleasing day at the office.
