So that's 20 points we've been robbed of in the last 18 months due to 4 games rained out vs Addington....... |
| Good comeback from week before! by Jase | We turned up and a nice greated us for a change. Playing against an old foe is always fun, but both teams basically picked up from where each other had left off about 3-4 years ago. We were sent in on an ok deck it must be said. getting to 79\3 at drinks isnt a bad start in anyones language, but knowing there batting lineup 200 was needed. Beef had batted well in the early stages and hit some nice 6's! Jake, Jimmy and Rikkie hung in for some much needed support for Beef who was continuing to plunder the bowling and reach a very good hundered!. We scampered through to 208, which was going to be challenging for any senior side!
Started the defence off well, and at drinks they were 60 odd for 3! But as any team in this grade knows, never look at the run rate needed, just smack the ball over the boundary! And that they did! Wickets kept tumbing though which always had us in front, until a horror over from Rikkie almost cost us, not to be. Grant bowled superbly for his 5 for and generally the team fielded well! Good result and we are back baby! |
